Dedicated, professional.
Intermesh Enterprises is a consulting firm that is managed by a cohesive team of dedicated professionals with varied and broad experience in evaluation, heritage and general social science research. Since 2001 we have used our diverse knowledge base to provide client-focused solutions to research and policy issues, and we continue to expand those networks of knowing with every new project.
Since 1987 I have been fascinated by the built and physical environment and how people adapt to it and adapt it to themselves. Whether by the use of chert to make a stone tool, or by the development of a policy to regulate energy development, the path of human domination of our world, and the world's domination of us continues to fascinate me, some 25 years later. As someone who could never stay in one discipline permanently, I gravitated to anthropology because it allows me to work in many areas and yet always have a way to link up, or intermesh, my ways of understanding of the world.
My consulting work to date has spanned a wide variety of policy research and archaeological site investigations that have led me on trips to many destinations in Canada and, just as exciting, has led to my meeting many interesting people along the way. One of the great things about the work I get to do is the people - I am continually impressed by the intricate knowledge that people have about their jobs, their heritage and their communities, and I believe that the seeds of many solutions lie within us all.
I am also particularly fortunate to work with many wonderful people. Some of these are (or have been) part of our team (Check out their profiles here) directly, and have brought their expertise to help Intermesh provide evaluation and heritage services to our clients. In other cases, I have had the good fortune to work with a few highly respected professionals in evaluation, including Alderson-Gill and Associates Inc, AHBI Associates Inc, Fair Findings Inc, among others. These collaborations have opened up many opportunities in research and I look forward to many more of them in the future.
